She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Scott; her daughters, Shelia Markham and Melinda Scott; her granddaughter Tracy Compton; her great grandchildren, Jacob Compton and Bradyn White; her parents, Caney Holmes and Liller Wicker Holmes; and her siblings, Dorothy Crowe, Mary Goodwin, Christine Hurley, Betty Walker, Ray Holmes, Hayward Holmes and James Holmes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Compton (Travis), Cathy Dubose (DeWayne), Betty Caldwell (Drew), Norma Ballard and Melissa Scott; and her grandchildren, Chris Dean, Casey Dean, Tammy Dean, Blake Bryan, Zachary Bryan, Eric Compton, Brittany Compton, Justin Bayman, Shawn Dubose, Corey Robinson, Tiffany Scott, Jasmine Merritt, Lindsay Bailey, Lacey Bond and Ariel Scott. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Brantley Cemetery.
