He was predeceased by : his grandson Marcus Reeves; his parents, Andrew "Jack" Johnson and Margaret Brunson Johnson; and his siblings, Mary-Grace Sorrells, Dorothy Allen, Eleanor Johnson of Glenn Johnson, H. J, Robert Johnson and George Johnson.

He is survived by : his children, Jennifer Langer, Cindy Leverette, Donald Carver (Susan) and Tina Morgan (Keith); his grandchildren, Hagan Morgan (Cery), Kristen Morgan (Blake), Anna Carver, Lucas Reeves, Jonas Morgan (Katie), Abigail Langer and Emmalin Langer; and his great grandchildren, Parker Morgan, Dane Carver, Raylan Morgan, Grayson Morgan, Micah Morgan and Quinn Morgan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Turners Funeral Home (360 E 3rd St, Luverne, AL 36049). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brunson Chapel Cemetery (6087 Old Brantley Luverne Rd, Brantley, AL 36009).
