It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mollie Lou Messick of Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husbands, Luther D. Mills Sr. and James R. Messick; her children, Olivia "Cricket" Snyder and Dee Mills; her grandson Michael Mills; her parents, Glen Jeffcoat and Mattie Morrison Jeffcoat; and her siblings, Bernie Davis, Nell Godby, Erin Williams, George Jeffcoat, Alton Jeffcoat, Harry Jeffcoat and Skinny Jeffcoat.
She is survived by : her children, Roy Mills (Pat), Hope Wilkerson (John), Jerry Mills (Sheila) and Rena Russell (Joe); her grandchildren, Heather Traylor (Shaun), Jamie Mills, Suzanne Marler (Ken), Todd Snyder (April), Jennifer Sullivant (Tim), Roy Mills Jr. (Heather), Jeff Wilkerson (Mary Beth), Shelley Bowen (Josh), Laurie Koumalatsos, Lisa Sawyer and Jodie Schaap (Brent); her sister Margaret Nichols; and her sister-in-law Florence Jeffcoat. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
