It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penelope Bratton of Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Penelope shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Penelope farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Larry Bratton; and her parents, Charles Raphael and Etta Lou Williams King. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Holland Davis and Walter Alex King (Jackie); and her nieces and nephews, Patti Reynolds (Alan), Penny Walsh (Steve), Eric Davis (Maki), Walter King (Karmina) and John Alan King (Jennifer). She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members, and friends.
