It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Mae Kidd of Luverne, Alabama, who passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Milon T. Kidd; her granddaughter Sarah Grace Kilpatrick; her parents, Gillis Walden and Ina Phillips Walden; and her brothers, Lomax Walden, James Walden and Johnny Walden.
She is survived by : her granddaughter Ashley; her children, Wayne Kidd (Faye), Travis Kidd (Shelia), Janice Gafford (Mike), Judy McGinty (Greg), Lynn Kilpatrick (Jody) and Tracy Bradley; her grandchildren, Sasha O'Neal, Shaun Kidd, Daniel Kidd (Brittney), Todd Gafford, Eric McGinty, Brad McGinty, Ashlynn Kilpatrick, Lizzy Kilpatrick, Isaiah Bradley, Ian Bradley and Josh Kidd (Lesleigh); her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Mary B. O'Neal, Shelby, Taylor Kidd, Conner, Colin Kidd, Evie, Isabel Kidd, Abbie, Zoe McManigle, Lennox and Elijah McGinty; and her sister Carrie Aughtman (Wayne).
In fact, she spent most of early months of the pandemic in a sewing frenzy with her granddaughter, Ashley, to make and distribute masks to all those who needed them.
