We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2025, at the age of 89, Carol Joanel Shields of Madison, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory (16 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1055 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at the Huntsville Memory Gardens (6810 University Drive NW, Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL 35806).
