He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wilson and Christine Owens Sowell; his wife Paula Sowell; and his brother Ben Sowell. He is survived by: his children, Chris Sowell (Shelley) of Elkmont and Stephanie Mann (Martin) of Harvest; his grandchildren, Cassidy (Spencer), Destiny (Kris), Gabe, Nathan, Briley (Blake) and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Brynn and Baylor; his brothers, Mike Sowell (Judy) of Athens and Joe Sowell (Anita) of Athens; and his sister-in-law Karla Holmes of Athens.
