He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Byrnes and Mary Byrnes; his wife Marcia Byrnes; his sisters, Jeanne Orth and Joyce Berger; and his son-in-law Kenton Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Kristina Schroeder and James Byrnes; his grandchildren, Jamie, Janna and James Jr.; and his siblings, David Byrnes, Timothy Byrnes, Judy Byrnes, Dolly Morrison, Jane Byrnes and Mary Clare Byrnes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Legacy Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory (16 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the Huntsville Memory Gardens (6810 University Drive NW, Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL 35806).
