He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Newton and Effie Newton; his brother Joseph Ehlinger (Viola Ehlinger); his in-laws, Harry and Ruth Foster; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Shoberg (Randy Patrick).
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Newton; his daughters, Laura Legra (Joseph Legra) and Nicole Ragan (Eddie Wilson); his grandson Nick Ragan; his sister Mary Ann Droitcourt; and his brother-in-law Larry Foster (Marty Foster). He is also survived by extended family, friends.
