He is survived by : his wife Sandy Plaxico Horton; his children, Joseph Horton (Bridget), Shannon Dwiggins (Robert) and Crystal Metcalf (Daniel); his siblings, Johnnie Brewer, Joyce Tyler (Sammy), Levie Horton, Jamie Horton, Allen Horton, Charlie Horton and Eddie Horton; his grandchildren, Haley Smithson, Danny Dwiggins, Jessie Hairston, Steven Dwiggins, Noah Horton, Layken Horton, Zoe Horton and Harlow Metcalf; and his great grandchild Emmett Smithson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
