He is survived by: his wife Shirley Tate; his sons, Lee Tate and Greg Tate; his grandchildren, Morgan Seay, Hunter Tate, Zac Tate and Alyssa Sumner; and his great grandchildren, Sage Tate, Bonnie Tate, Will Seay and Maddux Sumner.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
