He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Marsden Severance and Benjamin F. Severance, Sr.; his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Severance and William "Billy" Severance; and his brother-in-law Donnie Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his daughters, Brigitte Moore (Bert) and Briana Stallworth (Travis); his grandchildren, Ben Stallworth, Maggie Moore, Sarah Kate Stallworth and Amelia Moore; his sisters, Barbara Little (Jim), Peggy Anderson and Debbie Mitchell (Jessie); and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Severance and Sherry Severance. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Valley Presbyterian Church (5081 Eastern Valley Rd, McCalla, AL 35111). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shepherd of the Valley Church in Benny's memory.
