It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Eugene Barnes of McCalla, Alabama, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Barnes; his granddaughter Ava Martin; his parents, Carl Barnes and Jeniev Barnes; and his brothers, Pete Barnes, Jerry Barnes and Bobby Barnes.

He is survived by: his children, Temperance Parks (Chris), Kym Barnes, Jill Martin (Jesse) and Matt Barnes; his grandchildren, Christian Parks, Asha Parks and Alaina Martin; and his sisters, Joyce McCulley (Henry) and Linda Reid.
