He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn "WJ" Corkren and Mildred Elene Corkren (Haney); and his brothers, WJ "Jimmy" Corkren Jr. and Roger Allen Corkren. He is survived by: his sister Glenda Tyler (Douglas) of Bessemer, AL.; his wife Ruth Corkren (Ziegler); his children, William and Catherine "Katie" Corkren of Atlanta, GA.; his grandchildren, John Bradley Corkren and Ashlee Corkren Bryan (Thomas Bryan); and his great grandchildren, Scarlett Maelee and Lennox Maeson Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCalla Memorial Funeral Home (4780 Letson Farms Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
