She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Rigby and Clayton Rigby; and her brother Charles Rigby. She is survived by: her husband John Elam, Sr.; her children, Bubba Elam (Angie) and Tammie Elam Reaves (Allen); her grandchildren, Hunter Elam, Joel Reaves and Lauren Reaves Shipman (Don); her great grandchildren, Parker and Shepard Shipman; her siblings, Vicky Rigby Lucas (Jimmy) and Tommy Rigby; Sarah. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church (4809 Bell Hill Rd, Bessemer, AL 35022). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
