Susan Watts Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Watts of McCalla, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin P. Watts; her parents, William Amos and Christine Short; and her sisters, Carolyn Pilato and Rosemary Hollinghead.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck Rackley (Debra) of Hueytown, Tawnya Rackley of McCalla and Craig Rackley of Bessemer; her grandsons, Joshua Rackley of Hueytown and Will Schmitt of McCalla; and her brother William Amos.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peoples Chapel Funeral Home (195 Brooklane Dr, Bessemer, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Sandy Wayne Sanctuary of Hope, a safe haven for special needs, senior, and hospice animals.
