He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Rivers and Ola Mae Rivers; and his niece Tiffany Johnston. He is survived by: his son Cody Reed; and his siblings, Ray Wilson Johnston (Joyce), Sherry Johnston, Marvin Johnston (Melissa), Eleanor Johnston, Stevie Rivers (Donna), Eddie Rivers (Gena) and Linda Weaver (Eric "Bo"). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church (2009 Firetower Rd, McIntosh, AL 36553). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Mount Moriah Cemetery (2009 Firetower Rd, McIntosh, AL 36553).
