He is survived by: his children, Sharel Barnes Sr. (Lance), Shantee Gale (Ladarius), Brandon Henderson, Byron Henderson (Crystal) and Letha Bell (Emile); his siblings, Barbara Abrams, Belinda Jordan (Charles), Tammy Lang, Jerome Haley (Mary), Rose Marie Williams (John), Monica Tate (Michael), Andrea Adams and Tanya; his grandchildren, Stanley Barnes, Lance Barnes Jr., Iyana Barnes, Leekist Henderson, Calvin Reed, Zylah Henderson, Kinsley Henderson, Bryce Henderson, Kemari Henderson, Zariah Henderson, Abigail Sullivan and Ladarius Gale; his great grandchild Kaylani Reed; his close friend Shirley Adams; and his friends, Lela Reed, Rhonda Jones and David Lee Reed. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the New Beginning Apostolic Church (4260 US-43, McIntosh, AL 36553). A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the Vaughn Cemetery.
