He is survived by: his children, Ceil Smith of Andalusia, Joey Smith of Andalusia, Jeff Smith of Andalusia and Trish Cross (Carl) of DeFuniak Springs; his siblings, Wayne Smith (Joyce) of McKenzie, James Earl Smith (Twinette) of Andalusia, Carolyn Langdon (David) of Pace and Dorothy Ann Cook of McKenzie; and his grandchildren, Colton Cross, Amelia Taft, Bronwyn Kilcrease, Shae Page and Shelley Dyal. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
