In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Cook and Bar Carse. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith Cook; his children, John "Frankie" Cook (Patti) of McKenzie, AL, Sherri Cook Stallworth (Miller), James "Jimbo" Cook (Kimberly) of McKenzie, AL and Kerri Cook Harper (Don) of McKenzie, AL; and his grandsons, James "Cal" Cook, Zack Cook, Patrick Cook and Steven Cook. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cope-Keahey Funeral Home (705 Perryman St, Evergreen, AL 36401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
