He is survived by: his daughters, Danan Whiddon (Richard) and Dawn Whiddon Heartsill (Kevin); his grandchildren, Chloe Langston Young (Mitch), Sarah Langston (Aaron) and Whiddon Heartsill; his great grandchildren, River and Riley Young; his sister Sue Steck (Harry); his niece Tamara; his nephew David Steck (Holly); his great-nephew Brendan; and his great-niece Sierra.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to M&D Volunteer Fire Department at 537 Damascus Rd., Greenville, AL 36037 in Dan's memory.
