He was predeceased by: his parents, Manning Powell and Malene Reynolds Powell; and his siblings, Cecil Powell, Hoover Powell, Ivy Powell, Jim Powell, Eleahue Powell, Hazel Minor and Betty Irvin.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Powell; his children, Waylon Powell (Linda), Billy Powell (Raegan) and Misty Powell; and his siblings, Monroe Powell and Myrlean Hitson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Tri-Community Cemetery (3350 Edgewood Rd, Millbrook, AL 36054).
