She was predeceased by : her parents, Hillary Allen Thompson and Novice Romie Murphy Thompson; and her husband Donald Leon Collins. She is survived by : her children, Heath Flowers (Penny) and Renee Lucas (Jimmy); and her grandchildren, Emily Price (Jordan), Seth Parker (Christy), Amanda DeFoe (Stephen) and Cristian Najera Lucas. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Elmore County, 255 Central Plank Road, Wetumpka, AL 36092 in her memory.
