She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Wilson and Flora Mae Thomas Wilson; her husband Herbert Hoover Thomas; her daughter Kaye Catrett; and her siblings, Billy Wilson and Elaine Hilyer.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Thomas (Sarah) and Penny Darden (Michael). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
