We announce the death of Joan Strickland Hinson of Millbrook, Alabama, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her daughter Kay. She is survived by: her husband William Hinson (Billy); her stepson Tommy Hinson (Robie); her sons, Larry Evans (Mary) and David Evans (Peggy); and her sisters, Jean Hamrick and Paula Tougher. She is also survived by her grandchildren; along with numerous extended family members, dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Brookside Memorial Gardens (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054).
