He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Nichols and Pinkie Mae McDaniel Nichols; and his siblings, Luneeth Reynolds, Betty Baker, Flora Martin, James Nichols and Raymond Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Agnes Nichols; his daughters, Penny Nichols (Jimmy Sutherland) and Cindy Head (Mike); and his grandchildren, Daniel Lucas (Ashley), T. J. Lucas and Jon Lucas (Carrie). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity in his memory.
