She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Lowell Abernathy; and her daughters, Florence Paulene and Mary Jo Hough. She is survived by : her daughter Lavonia Inell McKinstry; her sister Faye McKenzie; her grandchildren, Melissa Hough, Kimberly Baker, Stacey Frady, Tracey Mooney, Jeffery Paulene, Christopher Paulene and Robert Paulene; and her close friend Kay Penton. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
