She was predeceased by: her husband Alan Staton; her parents, Pearl Conaway and Edith Marie Conaway (Rice); her son Alex Staton; and her siblings, Carl Conaway, Lloyd Conaway, Doug Conaway, Janet Mende and Jane Conaway.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Staton (Mary) and Amanda Johnston (Derek); her grandchildren, Sarah Shelnutt (David), Brianne Rencken (Joshua), Hope Staton, Colson Johnston, Logan Johnston, Trace Johnston, Slade Staton and Sophie Staton; her great grandchildren, Daphne Shelnutt and Violet Rencken; and her brother Tim Conaway (Nancy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (545 White Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Brookside Memorial Gardens (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shari's memory to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church building fund.
