He is survived by: his children, Warren Gilder Jr. of New Mexico, Troy Brown (Jennifer) of Holtville, AL, Latoya Brown (Frank Marshal) of Prattville, AL, Lashonda Calhoun (Bryan) of Wetumpka, AL and Maurice Deon Monroe; his siblings, Bettie Ann Alexander of Prattville, AL, Darrell Gilder (Loretta) of Coosada, AL, Andrew Gilder (Eddie Mae) of Montgomery, AL, Daniel Gilder (Carolyn) of Montgomery, AL, Archer L. Gilder of Millbrook, AL and John Gilder (Eva) of Deatsville, AL.; and his niece Teresa Grear of Coosada, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at the Brookside Memorial Gardens (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054).
