She is survived by: her husband James Fred Mitchell, Jr.; her sons, James Fred Mitchell, III (Joy), Douglas Bolton Mitchell (Holly) and Jesse Benjamin Mitchell (Amanda); her grandchildren, Constance Cary Mitchell, Olivia Brantley Mitchell, Emory Anne Mitchell, Quinn Saunders Mitchell and Clara Jane Mitchell; and her brother Henry Edgar Bolton (Phyllis).
