She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Thomas, Sr. and Millie Thomas (Garling); her son Bance Franklin, Jr.; her siblings, Letha Mae Thomas, Freddie Mae Shaw (Charles), Minnie Lee Jones (Riley), Phillip Thomas, Elijah Thomas, Jr. and David Charles Thomas; and her siblings-in-law, Rosetta Franklin, Louise Watson (Ed), Lula Bradley (Howard), Willie Ben Franklin, Johnny Franklin and George Franklin.
She is survived by: her husband Bance Franklin, Sr.; her daughter Katerina Pritchett (Anthony) of Denver, CO; her grandson Bakari Franklin of Tuscaloosa, AL; her brother Levi Thomas (Catherine) of Orrville, AL; and her sisters-in-law, Christine Franklin of Walnut Hill, FL and Betty Thomas of Broadview, IL.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church (3946 St Stephens Rd, Mobile, AL 36612). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
