He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Franklin and Mary Franklin; and his siblings, Moses Franklin (Washington, DC) of Miami, FL, Emma Martin, Willie Franklin, McKinley Franklin, Darcus Franklin and Thomas Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Franklin; his children, Ar'Tee (Angela), Franklin of Alexandria, VA and Chaka Franklin (James); his grandchildren, OnRei, Jadyn, Riani and Loren; his siblings, Jeremiah Tolbert Franklin of Miami, FL, Mary O. Muggins of Loxley, AL, Rufus L. Franklin of Philadelphia, PA, Annie Odell Franklin of Loxley, AL and Mable Lea (Otisi); and his sister-in-law Gertrude Reese Franklin of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
