Matthews; her daughter Jacqueline Lorraine Lane; her grandparents, June, Elizabeth Matthews, Fred James, Ollie and Bessie James; and her siblings, Daniel, Larry, Emerson Matthews, Reada Mae Luter and Audrey Liverman.
She is survived by: her husband Billy J. Lane; her children, Bishop Billy J. Lane, Jr. (Pastor Charmayne), Minister Kathy Laws (Elder William), Evangelist Deneice Lane and Shirlena Smallwood; and her siblings, Mary Josephine Sneed, Reverend Mark Matthews, Reverend Terry Matthews (Monica), Timothy Matthews (Rosalyn), Sherry Riddock, Johnny Matthews (Toni) and Evangelist Mary Matthews. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ezion Fair Baptist Church (1400 B St, Wilmington, DE 19801). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Silverbrook Cemetery (3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE 19805).
