She is survived by: her daughters, Nadine Thompson and Jackie Amato (Glenn Amato); her grandchildren, Gina Banks (Trey Banks), Tina Thompson, Gordon Amato (Julie Weitzel), Nina Thompson, Brennan Amato (Christine Wakar) and Christine Amato; her great grandchildren, Talayla Gilroy, Mya Guterriez, Tyler Guterriez, Tyrell Banks, Kaleb Thompson, Arianna Banks, Kylie Thompson, Tatiana Moreno, Gabriella Banks and Quinn Amato; and her spouse B. G. Thompson.
In addition, Carolyn volunteered for Make-A-Wish Foundation, organizing and producing fundraisers for the foundation.
