He was predeceased by : his parents, James Aloysius and Mable Kenny; his siblings, Mary-Cecilia, James, John (Jack), Robert and Donald; and his children, Paul Vincent and Regina (John).

He is survived by : his wife Mary Gunthorpe Kenny; his children, Thomas, Peter (Jeanne-Marie), Chuck, Mary (Patrick), Phillip, Theresa (James), James (Gabriela), Kristan (Jeff) and Clare (Jack); and his sister Theresa Dezenberg. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica (2 S Claiborne St, Mobile, AL 36602). A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
