He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Flakes Steger; his parents, Deborah Flakes and Curtis Flakes Sr.; his aunts, Bettye Broadnax and Latricia Walker Austell (Tommie) of Georgia; his great-aunts, Fannie Burden, Sylvia Flakes, Loretta Allen, Hazel Tolbert (Lorenzo) and Elsie Ligon; his uncles, Trosky Davis (Corlis), Raymond Bailey, Elmer Jack Bailey and Clifton Davis; his cousins, Daphne Smith (Lionel), Delicia (Carl), Fuller, Alice, Velma Diaz, Anthony Burden, Jr., Warren Burden (Madonna), Ruth Ramseur (Otis), Michelle Grace (Sammie), Charo Jefferson (Robert), Jennifer Little (Frank), Vanessa Whitten (Richard), Clifton Burden, Bridgett Tolbert and Tanya Mercer; and also Kyle Branch Flakes.
