He is survived by: his children, LaCynthia M. Adams (Shedrick), Melvin D. Matthews I and Marvin D. Matthews (Benjanette); his grandchildren, Alexandria J. Jackson, Melvin D. Matthews II, Karia Gladden (Sammie), Isaiah M. Adams and Keshawna K. Kitchens; his great grandchildren, Julian Gladden, Samaj Gladden, Kamea Gladden and Madison Mann; and his siblings, Charles F. Matthews, Lorene Matthews and Lena Bettis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pine Crest Funeral Home (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605).
