She was predeceased by: her father Marvin R. Carpenter; and her brother Marvin E. "Marvie" Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Philip Schermer, Jr.; her sons, Jason Biggs (Mary), Michael Biggs (Wendy) and Philip "Tres" Schermer, III; her mother Carolyn Carpenter; her sisters, Patricia Smith and Susan Barter (Michael); her sisters-in-law, Susan Schermer Ross and Judy Vonada (Michael); her grandchildren, Dallas Millevoi (Michael), Patton Biggs, Audrey Biggs and Michael Roland Biggs; and her siblings' children, Lindsay Barter, Lauren Barter, Trish Shaffer and Brandon Ross (Roshini).
