We bid farewell to Emma Jean Read Heim of Mobile, Alabama, born in Lucedale, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Emma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Heim; her parents, Henry Read and Beatrice Read; and her sister Verna Read. She is survived by: her children, Robin Dorsett (Martin), Marty Heim (Ima), Jodi Lee (Jimmy) and Kim Simpson (Robbie); her great grandchild Drew Zakrewski; her grandchildren, Derek Simpson (Cristen), Luke, Joseph, Christopher Dorsett (Roz), Ruth, Sam, Jack, George, Justin Simpson (Ashley), Hampton, Beau, Flora, Fletcher, Bradley Dorsett (Liz), Presley, Bennett, Denver, Henry, Monroe, William, Iris, Jordan Dorsett (Lauren), Jane, John Martin, Levi, Rachel Rausch (Danny), Taylor (Patrick), PJ, Evan, Ally, Lauren Brogdon (Ty), Mae, Kinsley, Mercy, Watson, Ross Dorsett (Madison), Nathan Heim and Jackson Lee; and her brother-in-law Ray Heim. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Luke (1050 Azalea Rd, Mobile, AL 36693). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
