She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin C. Ellis; her parents, Edwin Pierce and Teva Pierce; her siblings, Edwin Pierce, Jon Pierce and Janet Roberts; her granddaughter Anna Johnson; her great grandchild Robert E. Johnson; and her nephew Chris Herrin.
She is survived by: her children, Porter W. Ellis, Jordan A. Ellis (Kimberly) and Chatman T. Ellis (MaryAnn); her daughter-in-law Miranda Brown; her grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Erin Ellis, Joshua Ellis and Sage Ellis; and her great grandchild Savannah Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
