He was predeceased by: his parents, Ina Campbell Shaw and Herbert Charles Shaw; and his brothers, Colin Shaw and Samuel Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Terri Smith; his children, Jason (Thalia) and Amanda Shaw (Jeremy); his stepdaughters, Amy Smock (Bobby), Rebecca Schmitt (David) and Jamie Price; and his sister Susan Pate (Philip). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

If you would like, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Hill Spring Baptist Church.
