Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved George Michael Callahan Sr. (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away at the age of 86, on July 19, 2025. He was predeceased by: his wife Bettie Jean Beasley "Miss Betty" Callahan; his parents, Fannie Bell Fisher Callahan and Herbert Leon Callahan; and his siblings, H. L. "Sonny" Callahan, Charlie Callahan, Terry Callahan, Sissy Martin, Mary Jane Emmick and Rose Marie Callahan.
He is survived by: his sons, George "Mike" Callahan, Jr. (Gloria) and Gregory "Greg" M. Callahan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Brittany DeShazo, Matthew and Breanna Callahan; his godchildren, Michelle Fetterhoff and Addison Fetterhoff; and also Scooter-Louise. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and faithful friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (4980 St Vincent Dr, Mobile, AL 36619). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Pine Crest Cemetery (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Vincent De Paul for repairs to the church (for their carpets & windows) on behalf of Mr. George.
