In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gilbert had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gilbert may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Lundy and Bessie Lundy; his wife Loretta Lundy of Adel, Georgia.; his sons, Bert Lundy (Minerva) and Marshall Lundy (Sonya); and his sister Iris Lundy Anderson (Billy). He was also cherished by his two sons and many grand children, great grand children and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens (6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church (2 McGregor Ave, Mobile, AL 36608). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
