With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hamlin Henderson Griffin Jr. (Mobile, Alabama), who passed away on May 22, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamlin H. Griffin, Sr. and Irma Freeland Griffin; his daughter Cheryl Griffin Harper; and his sister Dolores Griffin Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Gail Hullett Griffin; his children, Robert H. Griffin (Tracie), Melodie Garner (Donnie) and Kevin Castleberry (Janiece); his sister-in-law Elizabeth O'Donnell; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Harper Hughes (Stephen), Megan Harper Simmons (Brian), Dr. Lauren Griffin Brannan, Morgan Griffin Saux (Zach), Hannah N. Griffin, Brian P. Kane (Lyndy), Radd A. Castleberry and Joel T. Castleberry. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the Woodridge Baptist Church Building Fund are encouraged.
