It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Harris in Mobile, Alabama, born in Pecan, Mississippi, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Harrison Stork Sr. and Lydia Corine Clark; her husband Jesse S. Harris; her siblings, Benjamin Stork Jr., Tubby Stork, Johnny Stork, Graham Stork, Hermes Stork, Frank Stork, Cotton Stork, Stella Koskela and Augusta Poole; her children, Mack Sprinkle, Michael Harris and Mattie Sprinkle Bosarge; and her grandchildren, Tony Bosarge Jr., Chrissy Bosarge Barnes and Jedidiah Lynn.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Gwen Sprinkle; her children, Stevie (Mary Lee Sprinkle), Gregory (Annie Sprinkle), David Sprinkle Sr. and Karen (Bert Lynn); and her grandchildren, Bridget Sprinkle, Ida Meekin, Ann Sprinkle, Tabatha Collier, Gayla Sprinkle, Mack Sprinkle, Stevie Sprinkle, JJ Sprinkle, Luke Sprinkle, Michael Sprinkle, Nicole Taylor, Gregory Sprinkle Jr., Emma Poff, Jackie Jenkins, David Sprinkle Jr., Glen Bosarge, Crissy Barnes and Jessica Lynn. She is also survived by 56 great-grandchildren, 90 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Holder Wells Funeral Home (4007 Main St, Moss Point, MS 39563). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holder Wells Funeral Homes (4007 Main St, Moss Point, MS 39563). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Machpelah Cemetery (Pascagoula, MS).
