Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janetta leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Whitt and Mary Lee Waddy Whitt; and her sister Charlene Whitt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (2756 Old Shell Rd, Mobile, AL 36607).
She formerly served as a deputy registrar of the Mobile County Board of Registrars and as a member of the board of Youth Empowered for Success and the American Civil Liberties Union's Alabama Foundation.
