He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Catherine Tanner; his siblings, Louise Wallace, Paul Tanner, Annie Mae Hoven and Gary Downing Tanner; and his nephew John D. Tanner, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Tanner and Joey Tanner; and his brother Donald Tanner. He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Radney Funeral Home (3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Pine Crest West Cemetery (1599 Snow Rd, Mobile, AL 36695).
