He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Seknicka and Edna P. Seknicka. He is survived by: his wife Anne Seknicka; his children, Nancy Seknicka Kimberlin (Richard) of Houston and John "Ted" E. Seknicka, Jr. (Tami) of Edmond, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Kevin Kimberlin (Amanda), Connor Kimberlin (Lauren), Paige Seknicka and Adam Seknicka; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Kimberlin and Mason Kimberlin.
