He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Wacker Vereen; his sons, John Pratt Vereen (Steve Beasley) of Atlanta, GA and Deacon Marc Lewis Vereen (Kim); his grandson Vincent Vereen; and his sister Patricia Vereen Busby. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, 2053 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36606 or St. Joseph Catholic Church (where son Marc is a deacon): 217 Harrington Avenue, Bastrop, LA 71220.
