He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Cox and Ruth Maten Cox; and his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Bumpers Cox. He is survived by: his sons, Johnny W. Cox, Jr. (Gail) of Virginia Beach, VA and Robert B. Cox (Cindy) of Venice, FL; and his grandchildren, R. J. Cox of Jack Cox, J. C and Jamie Lynn Cox.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Womack Hill Cemetery (1446 Womack Hill Rd, Gilbertown, AL 36908).
